JAPAN: UNLEASHING INNOVATION, PIONEERING PROGRESS

The Japanese government runs a program called JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths) to foster friendship and understanding between young people from Japan and other nations in the Asia-Pacific. The program provides numerous opportunities for cross-cultural interaction, including as homestays, school visits, and workshops.

We got a chance to take part in this program in February 2023. It was a 7-day tour to the land of rising sun. We landed in the Narita International Airport on 21st of February in 2022. JICE's management team were present there at the airport to pick us up. The organizers drove the delegates from Nepal and Pakistan to the Hotel East Tokyo 21. The following day Jenesys 2022 was formally inaugurated. We visited Kawasaki Eco Miraikan near Haneda Airport.

The Kawasaki EcoLife Museum for the Future is another name for it. The museum has displays on recycling, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Additionally, it features a 20,000kW solar power producing facility named the Kawasaki Mega Solar Power producing Plant that was developed jointly by Kawasaki-city and the Tokyo Electric Power Company.

Chiba University of Commerce is the first 100% renewable energy university in Japan in order to help with environmental preservation, especially fighting global warming. By using only renewable energy, the university can balance the energy it uses with the energy it produces through its Mega-Solar Farm and other sources.

Isumi City:

A coastal city in Japan's Chiba Prefecture is referred to as Isumi City. It is located facing the Pacific Ocean on the Boso Peninsula's eastern coast. Japan's culture places a high value on hospitality, or "omotenashi" in Japanese. We were welcomed by the Japanese local family in Isumi City. The family made extra efforts to make us feel comfortable and well cared for by making their home a pleasant and warm place to visit. It was a beautiful experience.

I want to say how much I appreciate everything about Japanese hospitality, manners, and culture. I visited to this stunning nation recently, and the experience left me with a lasting impact. I have already vowed to return to Japan in the future.

I was enthralled by the hospitality and sincere compassion of the Japanese people from the minute I arrived. I can attest that the idea of omotenashi actually represents the spirit of hospitality thanks to the wonderful care and attention I received everywhere I went. I felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated as a visitor, whether it was due to the hotel staff's helpfulness, the graciousness of the program organizers, or the nice exchanges with shops and restaurant personnel.

Incredibly high levels of respect and decency permeate Japanese society. I was moved by how folks went above and above to help me, patiently addressing my queries and providing direction. Every interaction demonstrates the ingrained respect culture, and I thought it encouraging to see such sincere care for others.

It's admirable how dedicated Japan is to cleanliness and order. The diligent work to create a pleasant and cozy environment for everyone is evident in the immaculately kept public areas, spotless streets, and effectively planned transportation systems. Knowing that the Japanese people cherish and appreciate attention to cleanliness and beauty made it a joy to explore the cities.

Beyond the cities, Japan's breathtaking natural splendor had me in awe. From the vivid autumn foliage to the blooming cherry blossoms in the spring, the stunning surroundings offered a picture of peace and tranquillity.

My stay in Japan has made a permanent impression on my heart, and I am appreciative of the memories and encounters I had there. My admiration for Japan's kindness, manners, and culture has further fueled my want to go back and discover more of this amazing nation.

Thank you, Japan, for your gracious hospitality, warm welcome, and the magnificent cultural tapestry you have woven. I make a commitment to return and continue learning about your illustrious past and all of your wonders.
